Silver gilt and full radial Guilloche enamel Singing bird box with original silver and enamel key and leather case

A sublime silver gilt and full radial guilloche enamel  with highlights, singing bird box, with original silver and enamel key and original leather carry case. When wound and the bird-form start/stop button actuated, the magic starts immediately with the bird lid opening as bird appears, flapping both wings, opening and closing metal beak, bobbing tailfeather and turning entire body from side-to-side, perfectly synchronized to the continuous crisp and clear birdsong. The case in silver gilt with light blue enamel, dark blue highlights and further gold highlights. Standing upon four silver and enamel feet. Unusually this box retains its matching silver and enamel key with full silver marks. The lid stamped with hallmarks 11, silver content 935, Austrian silver mark and makers mark as is the underside of the case, marked 'Gesetzl. Geschutzt' 'made in Austria' 'sterling' 935 for silver content, and 366/11, 'S S T' and the lower front of case with silver content mark and makers mark. Movement stamped on the underside with Raymy's mark.

Point of interest -

Seen here for the first time on the international market is this creation from Raymy.  A late Bontems associate and a big player in the successful appearance of the OMM and Griesbaum manufacturing companies, his solo start in Geneva was met with much acclaim.
Praised with perfecting the endless design to be mounted at the rear of the movement making its drive path far more efficient than the previously known pattern, his very early design work shows his transition from that design with his new improved layout.
